1. Texans finish as a top-10 defense
Proceed from the assumption Houston will have a losing record in 2021. Last year, there were five teams in the top-10 defensively that finished with .500 or worse records. The team with the worst record happened to be the San Francisco 49ers, who finished 6-10 but managed to give up just 5.0 yards per play, tied for fourth-best in the league.

The former 2017 second-round pick from Vanderbilt is playing in a linebacker friendly scheme. The opportunities to make plays will be on Cunningham, who led the NFL with 164 combined tackles last season.

Martin has been the forgotten part of, not only the Jadeveon Clowney trade, but the pass rush in general. Since coming to Houston, Martin has provided 6.5 sacks, and there is such potential in him as an edge rusher that even the Seattle Seahawks tried to get him back at the trade deadline last season.
